Very good layout with lots of diverse holes. Quite a few intimidating tee shots over water hazards which require decent drives if you want to have solid second shots. Accuracy is the key here they are claiming but you also need distance to score. We were playing of the 56's (third set of tees) and the course still played much longer than expected! So all the notes and tips from the designer were a bit useless. With an exception of Par-5 2nd hole none of the Par-5's were actually close to being drivable. The course was in great condition with superb fairways and very good greens. Clubhouse was designed by the most famous Danish architect and it is one of the best I have seen with nice interior design and lots of nice sculptures. Pro-shop is very well stocked. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the service is superb. The beautiful lodge on the Old Course is a great place to stay with a lovely view of the 2nd hole. It has 3 bedrooms and it will accommodate 6 people. A course well worth playing...
