The course characteristics of Vidago include greens and tees at elevated level, strategic bunker positioning and greens that require a perfect view to assessing their unevenness. On the golf course there are great contrasts that share the special respect for the natural surroundings. A hallmark of this golf course is retaining walls of all tees, built with local stone as well the centennial trees that were preserved almost in its integrety. The first four holes played within the Centennial Park anticipate the following 11 holes built from scratch in the Oura valley. The last 3 holes are played at the top of the Centennial Park with the magnificent and breathtaking view of hills and villages. All the holes are a challenge and each of the last 9 is completely different from the former, so that the golfer can test and determine the full range of shots.
