This is a fine and pretty long links course. It was in very good condition when I played, especially the greens, which are often well protected and undulating. I chose to play from the yellow tees (6600 yards) and so some of the carries and blind fairway shots were a test. The cost is high but I am glad I played it and hope that I can remember some of the challenges next … Meer

Het is dat de toegangsweg smal is en weinig verkeer aan kan, anders zou Royal Cinque Ports, of Deal zoals de meeste Engelsen hem noemen, ongetwijfeld op de lijst van banen staan waar The Open kan worden gespeeld. Probably the least well-known of three great courses on this stretch of the Kent coast, with Prince's and St George's up the road more high profile nowadays. We speelden deze baan als gast met een bevriende Belg die hier ook lid is. Qua greenfee is het dan echt goedkoop,35 pond. Als je dan kijkt wat je krijgt, is het gewoon outstanding. Hands down the best links course I've played. Magnificent layout, stunning sea views and just perfect maintenance. We had a lot of rain before teeing off, but the course held perfectly. Heel mooie golfbaan. Veel bulten het is een echte mooie links baan. Wat wel raar en jammer is als je een short draagt moet je sokken dragen tot aan je knieën.

Heerlijke linksbaan, samen met royal st. georges en Prince's golf een mooi golfweekend. Fijne ontvangst door de caddymaster en de proshop. Zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Kunnen ze bij St. Georges nog wat van leren! Let op: ook hier kniekousen verplicht bij korte broek!

Royal Cinque Ports ist ein historischer Links Course, den man auf seiner Reise nach Kent unbedingt gespielt haben muss. Er befindet sich direkt neben dem wunderschönen Küstenstädtchen Deal. Een zeer afwisselende TOP linksbaan met een fantastische in en out layout. Een uitdaging voor ieder niveau met of zonder wind. Vlakbij en zelfs nu in de winter perfecte fairways en magnifieke zomergreens.

Quel parcours et quel finish! Peu de choses à redire sur ce tracé. Seuls manques quelques panoramas pour en faire un moment parfait.

Perfect links course excellent modulated greens. Follow the Open courses as neighbours RSG and Princes.

De greens waren fantastisch, echt een prachtige baan met veel blinde holes en doglegs. Geen baan voor een beginnend golfer.

We were advised to play the 18 holes with a flight of 4 in 3h45. Impossible :). Fantastic greens. Challenging play with wind. You need some distance to get on the fairways (150m).

Royal Cinq Ports Golf Club is een super links course. Wie een liefhebber is van echte links banen komt hier aan zijn trekken. De baan is super onderhouden. Fairways zo kort gemaaid net als op de European Tour. De baan ligt direct aan de zee. op sommige holes zie je ook de zee. Er zijn zelfs een aantal tiger tees die op de dijk liggen. De baan is goed onderhouden en een uitdaging maar de club is absoluut vrouw-onvriendelijk. Wij spelen regelmatig in de UK maar dit had ik nog niet meegemaakt. Op de scorekaart alleen afstanden van de mannentee's. Geen enkele informatie over de baan. Voor 160 pond zou een strokesaver inbegrepen mogen zijn. Scenically, it's not what I would describe as a good looking course - the holes do most of the talking here - and the coastal view is largely hidden by the sea wall that runs the length of the links. Een van de beste banen die ik ooit gespeeld heb. In januari op prachtige greens hoewel een van de leden me zei terug te komen als de greens sneller zijn. Prachtig clubhuis en fantastische kleedkamer. De reis waard.
