This is our first time to the Norfolk area and obviously we had to play Royal West Norfolk. The club has a wonderful old club house steeped in history with a friendly professional and well stocked shop. The course itself is a straight out and in and with the wind the second 9 can be challenging. The greens when we played here were quite quick, but honest. West Norfolk has quite a few strong par 3s and a whole host of sleepered bunkers. This is a must play for any links golf lover. Please pay attention when you want to play with four people. You are only allowed to play as two-balls. This is the club rule so just a warning here. All in all a great course we really enjoyed it just took a little away from the experience as we couldn’t all play together. Moreover, you can only play here during weekdays and in August you are not able to play here at all as a visitor. Also make sure to check the tide times! Clubhouse staff was friendly.
