18th green is the only handmade green. The course is fully natural. The condition of the course is excellent and the greens are on point. Not that long of a course. The length is 6.200 yards long. Tom Watson said: “the back nine beated me up”. Which only means that it can be a really challenging course depending on weather conditions. Beautiful design by James Braid,1924. Total members: just over 500. Some international members as well. There is the option of having Highland members (secondly club). Full membership: 400 pounds a year. There is no entry fee to join. Country member ship is just under 300 pounds. Full membership gets reciprocal with Royal Dornoch and great discounts with some other courses in the area. Saturday mornings have become full visitor days. We landed at Brora by helicopter. It is quite convenient when staying in Inverness or at the Highlands. The clubhouse was redone in the mid 90’s. There has been some construction in the past years. They are planning on upgrading facilities and re do the pro-shop. Brora: name of the village They have sheeps and cows at the course as well as electric fences in the practice facilities.
