Golf in Caribbean

In total there are 118 golf clubs in the Caribbean, most of them of high quality, designed by famous golf course architects and located in some awesome locations. Golfing in the Caribbean is very relaxed, with great ocean views and good halfway houses where you can relax, drink something or even have a meal. Some Caribbean golf courses require the use of caddies and buggies are almost always included. The best Caribbean golf courses are Punta Espada Golf Club, Casa de Campo La Romana - Dye Fore, White Witch at Rose Hall Estate, Barceló Bávaro Beach Resort and Sandy Lane. Not surprisingly the Caribbean is home to quite a few of the best golf resorts. The Caribbean have a subtropical climate and normally temperatures are high with a lot of sunshine. But conditions per region can differ greatly. From July till the beginning of December it's hurricane season and during that period tropical depressions are common. This means heavy rainfall and windy conditions. If you want to golf in the northern part of the Caribbean (so Dominican Republic, Jamaica), go there from December to April. If you are planning to golf in the Leeward Antilles, then March to August is fine.
