Red & Yellow
First impression it's an amazing setup. Only previous visit was about 20 years ago when it was new. Brilliant how they get everyone started. Course and greens very good for late September. Will definitely return.

Great to have 4 x 9 holes and a good par 3 all in one golf club. Excellent short game area too as well as good practice facilities. The courses are all quite different from one another but all suffer from poor drainage during periods of prolonged rainfall over the winter months. Greens are pretty good and medium speed. Some of the water holes are quite spectacular and tak…

Broome Manor Golf ClubHighworth 9 Hole Golf Course
A fairly decent municipal course, ruined by the rude groundsman (assumed - hole digging in outdoor cafe area) on the 18th. Returning as a guest to the course that I had been a member of 10 years ago, this sarcastic and demeaning encounter left a sour taste to the day.

Manor House Golf Club at Castle Combe
Castle Combe village next to the Manor course is an unspoilt gem and the setting for movies like Warhorse. The Manor itself is also a wonderful 5 star hotel with Michelin starred restaurant. If you like slightly quirky courses - this is for you! The par 4 and par 3 drop holes are tee shots you will not have played before. The holes through the valley are undulating and a …

Hamptworth Golf & Country Club
I played this course in a match with the Senior's Section from my own club. The hospitality, club house facilities and the whole ambience of the club was very good. The condition of the course was as you would expect from a club with a reputation for good golf. The greens were hard, not too fast but quite undulating. The fairways were clearly cut and the rough not too bad…

Kingsdown Golf Club
