Golf in Perth and Kinross
Perth and Kinross is a landlocked county in Scotland and it is geographically split by the Highland Boundary Fault into a more mountainous northern part and a flatter southern part. The northern area is a popular tourist spot, while agriculture makes an important contribution to the southern part of the area. The largest city is Perth. Gleneagles Hotel - with three golf courses - is the most famous golf club in Perth and Kinross. It was the host of the Ryder Cup in 2014, which was held at PGA Centenary Course.

Golf in Perth and Kinross
Perth is believed the be the oldest golf venue in the world. Records of people playing golf here go back to the 16th century. In 1824 the Perth Golf Club was founded and golfers then played the North Inch. The club is now known as the North Inch Golf Course. The current layout of the course was designed by Old Tom Morris.
The most famous golf club in Perth and Kinross by far is the Gleneagles Hotel. Other golf courses in Perth and Kinross which are definitely worth a visit are Blairgowrie Golf Club, Pitlochry Golf Club, Alyth Golf Club and Crieff Golf Club.

High end top quality resort with many activities such as archery, falconry, hunting, tennis, walking, spa, horseback riding, fishing, off road driving and golf of course.
Gleneagles has actually been voted to be the best golf resort in Europe.

We stay at Glenmor for a week every year in early May and have played all 3 courses. The King’s is our favourite, it is an unforgiving track with many outstanding holes.
