West Lothian - historically known as Linlithgowshire - is a county in Scotland and lies on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth. West Lothian is predominantly rural. The old county town was the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, but the largest town is now Livingston. West Lothian is not as popular as East Lothian as a golf destination. Due to its location (west of Edinburgh and more inland) you will not find many links courses in West Lothian.
