Donnington Valley Golf Club

This is a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde course – a gentle and not too difficult first halve is combined with a challenging and strenuous second halve. I enjoyed playing both, but it is a good idea, as is suggested, to take a break between the two. There’s a nice club house there as well, so opportunity to fill up.

The course has a lot of nice holes to make it worth going there. A couple of these holes are quite rememberable, with challenging greens, some of them provided with tricky run-off areas.

But definitely worth coming is the welcoming atmosphere, all staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

A pleasant course to play, but not the most famous in the region. Noise from nearby motorway accompanies you for 18 holes. Clubhouse and meal options unsatisfactory but nice pub on the course.

Great day out, staff very friendly, course immaculate, greens hard to read and a great test, overall well worth the money even for the scenery.

Aangename ontvangst in de proshop. We speelden met Greenfree en da tleverde ons een beperkte korting op op de prijs. Clubhuis niet geweldig, bij binnenkomst om half 4 werd er geen eten meer geserveerd. Wel een prachtige oude omgeving. Oefengreens waren "under construction" en de drivingrange bestond uit een slagkooi.

Men zegt dat de laatste 4 holes de moeilijkste van Engeland zijn. Dat lijkt me een beetje overdrven, maar 15,16 en 17 zijn zeker testers!

Al met al wel een leuke eerste kennismaking met golfen in Engeland.
