Hessle Golf Club

lovely course, nice hills, not much water hazzards, good maintenance of the course. club house a bit out dated. played it before taking ferry hull back to holland. i will come back!

Op uitnodiging gespeeld, helaas geen gebruik gemaakt van de oefenfaciliteiten. Mooie baan met diversiteit aan bomen. Greens prima in orde, net als de fairways en de T-boxen. Zeker nog een keer spelen.

Arguably the best feature of Hessle is the putting surfaces. There are some wonderful borrows on them; many subtle but mostly very pronounced. A number of them have an 'upturned saucer' nature to them which won't be to everybody's liking but it certainly calls for a deft touch and if you escape from your round without a three-putt you will have done extremely well. Some of the larger ones effectively have 'greens within greens' where there are different sections and finding the correct one is vital. This really makes the course stand-out and in my opinion superior, and certainly more interesting, to courses of similar ilk. The actual condition of the greens has always been excellent on my visits here too.

been playing golf for 35 years and played plenty of courses but Hessle is up at the top. only way to describe it is stunning. the course is so well maintained and each hole has great character a pleasure to play.

Lovely course in fantastic condition, played here last year an really enjoyed it but it really is in fantastic condition this year, they have changed the course in the way it looks an wow what a difference! Always a friendly an welcoming club, and one certainly on the up.
