Hotel Zámek Štiřín

Unfortunately, this is one of the stories of a closed golf course. It was a beautiful little 9-hole park course near the Štiřín state castle, very interesting and demanding in terms of accuracy. In addition to trees, there is also a lot of water here – the course includes two ponds. I managed to play the course in 2019 – the game here was beautiful, inspiring, it was an aesthetic experience. The clubhouse, built in the style of the master Gaudí, was also very interesting. Unfortunately, none of this is true anymore. I think that in 2021, the entire complex, including the castle and clubhouse with a restaurant, was closed and remains closed to this day – the state is selling the castle, so far unsuccessfully. It's a great shame – Baron Ringhoffer, the builder and former patron of the entire region, is surely turning in his grave... I can only add a few photos to give you an idea.

Nice setting in a park, not long but requires precise shots. Hole 9 can be challenging - if your drive isn't long and straight you have missed even a theoretical chance for a par.
