Poresia Golf Club & Resort

The Poresia Golf Club and Resort is perhaps one of the few golf clubs that comes with a 36-holes par-72 course. Located between the Johor Bahru, the state capital of southern state Johor and Singapore, Poresia Golf Club and Resort is the nearest golfing resort coming in from Singapore. The club is a very unique project which came from a cooperation between Malaysia and Singapore. This is where the name Poresia came about where Pore is derived from Singapore and Sia is through Malaysia. The club was established in 1990 and was designed by Pete Dye, a renowned international golf course architect. Golfers playing at the Poresia will like the rich and natural vegetation of the surroundings where there is practically a flower garden along the course. The golf course here was designed to be played by both amateur and professional golfers where there are 4 remarkable Nines which are named after flowers which are Hibiscus, Orchid, Sakura and Bougainvilla. The golf course was built on top a former oil palm plantation where the most challenging and most popular course here is the Orchid Nine while the Sakura Nine is more renowned for its undulating had palm-tree obstacles. The other 2 Nines meanwhile are designed to offer a full range of challenges that will require the thinking caps of even the most seasoned golfer. Golfing is the main attraction here while there are many other facilities for everyone that includes swimming pools, Pro Shop for golfing supplies and many more.
