Golfclub Königsfeld e.V.

We received a very nice welcome at the proshop and making a reservation was easy. Golfcourse has good practice facilities and teeboxes, fairways and greens were in good condition even that it was very hot. Holes are very nice and challaging with nice height differences. Some holes need some knowledge of how to play it so this is for next time. Clubhouse was very nice as well as the location of the club. No need to hire a buggy as the course is reasonable easy to walk.

A welcoming clubhouse with a terrace overlooking the practice greens invites you to stick around after your round. The course is beautifully set in nature—especially on holes 3 and 4, where you truly feel like a guest in a nature park. Walking trails cut through the course, but they rarely cause issues. Only at the tee on hole 6 do you need to watch out—let’s hope the local walkers know the risks of a slice. The routing is solid: the holes connect smoothly and there’s a nice rhythm in the variety. Long and short, straight and doglegs—or even banana-shaped—and there’s elevation change too. Some sections, especially holes 2 to 4, involve a bit of climbing, but overall it’s an easy walk. This course is definitely a recommendation if you’re after a great round of golf in the beautiful surroundings of the Black Forest.

Vraiment un super parcours… joué malheureusement pas avec une météo sympathique mais nous avons prédis beaucoup de plaisir… à découvrir….

Voor ons geen bijzondere baan. Veel holes lijken op elkaar weinig spannende en uitdagende holes. Greens waren erg traag. Desondanks toch lekker gegolfd.. We konden goed doorlopen en de mensen waren qller hartelijkste.

Important Disclaimer ahead: the low points I gave for the greenkeeping do not reflect the great overall score. The reason is the drought this year, for which Königsfeld obviously paid a very heavy toll. This is a temporary state. In general I assume, that they take care of the greenkeeping very well. For that reason they got a very good general score (it's a great golfclub), while the low greenkeeping score represents the current temporary state.

Which unfortunately was very bad. The tee boxes were completely tried out to be just sand and dust. And the green's were not really playable.

However they disclaimered that condition ahead of play and gave heavy discounts because of it! Also, it's not their fault, because they were prohibited to water the course during this summers drought. In addition the fairways were actually in pretty good state comparing the circumstances!

So disregarding the current state, the place is great. The course is extremely divers and quite challenging with two very long par 3s. Every hole is different, with the back 9 a lot more challenging (and also a bit unconventional) then the front.

The staff is super nice. The restaurant delicious.

We had a lot of fun and despite the state of greens and tee boxes a super great time!
