Archipelagia Golf Club

Our next stop was the course has 0 reviews on Leadingcourses page so I decide it to put one on. As on every single course parking lots are always full through the season, same here. Course is located about 20 minutes from city of Turku, which we explore first, and no problem to park on their parking with our RV. It is also next to big driving range and nice clubhouse. What I really love in Finland are automats for balls on driving range. You just pay with credit card and no need for any coins or anything, great invention. Since there were no reviews on this course not even picture I had 0 expectations. We had quite early teetime and reception was still closed, however since all were confirmed over the email we teed off, to solve all after the game. Front nine is similar to Kokkolan course, holes are in open area, from where you can nicely see clubhouse. Wide fairways, once again very good greens. However compare to other courses, there is already few elevated teeboxes and also some greens are not in level with fairways which makes it more spectacular. Front nine is good exactly for people like me who does not go to driving so would call it warm up nine, but not easy one. Back nine starts not at the clubhouse, but almost on furthest end of the course. But you have been taken care off, with awesome halfway house, with great coffee and awesome cinnamon rolls and beautiful service. Back nine is like from another world, interesting shots, elevated tees, elevated greens. Picturesque nine, very challenging. Last 3 holes are taking you back to clubhouse. Not sure if I would choose 18th as signature one probably it would be the 17th or 14th, or 13th. Anyway last hole is as we liked it in front of clubhouse. It also has kind of St. Andrews bridge for taking photos. After the game obligatory sauna in locker room and great buffet lunch like at other courses. Archipelagia did not disappoint at all, I can recommend, and now we are off to last 2 courses in Finland and highlight our trip.

This golf course was very nice, greens fast, fairways wide and friendly. I enjoyed this game, really much. You can have really delicious snack between 9th and 10th hole and a lunch after the game in the club restaurant. It was not expensive - we paid 39 EUR for three persons for the bufet. The stuff was friendly. Thank you so much for your hospitality :-)
