Le Robinie Golf Club Milano

Wij verbleven een aantal dagen op het resort om niet alleen op Le Robinie te spelen maar vandaar ook andere banen te bezoeken. Mooi centraal punt om binnen een half uur tot een uur bij andere topbanen te komen. Een mooi hotel met fantastisch uitzicht vanaf het terras over de baan. Prima oefenfaciliteiten en een mooie pro-shop. De baan zelf is ruim opgezet. Brede fairways waar je je bal niet snel kwijt zal raken. Goede bunkers en mooie greens. Wat een genot om hier te spelen. een punt van kritiek is dat als je loopt of een trolley hebt, er diverse holes zijn waar je omhoog moet klimmen naar het pad voor de volgende hole.

De combinatie golfbaan/ golfhotel om in de directe omgeving een paar topbanen is prima, waarbij de 18 holes van Robinie een prima starter zijn. Niet al te moeilijk, ruime fairways en goede greens zijn een prima appetizer voor de rest van de week. Mooi overdekt terras met uitzicht op hole 18 is kers op de taart. Hotel zelf is aan een refit toe.

Another stop at Robinie, again early tee time to play ahead of a tournament: Thanks to friendly and well organised staff. Course was in good condition, even though it rained a lot during the days before... except bunkers: Most were very hard, sort of muddy sand - definitely a point for improvement. Rough was mowed low, therefore not too frightening - although grass selection makes play outside of fairways hard. Big differences depending on which tees you play, even from the yellows I had a number of drives into wide fairways- typically second shot is tougher and decides on score. Checked out the restaurant, good steak & wine.

Good location close to Milano/Malpensa, with hotel and big supermarket close by. Small pro-shop with high end clothing and "spareparts. " Staff made a full round possible on day with tournament, before bank holiday: Top! Range is big, not to long but fine - one practice green. Pitch and putt 18 holes looks great, but I did not play-

Played of tee 10, which gave us the top nine holes first. There is a lot of classic design on this course, which was build on a gravel pit. Very thick rough - also wet although perfect autumn weather.

The course is pretty flat and wide, but there is great elevated tees, well guarded greens with deep bunkers. Risk/Reward is balanced from yellow tees, only on sort of average par 4 and par 3. The 18 holes played 5:30 (following the tournament), almost 13km with carry-bag and scrambling.

For me this course is on top five list in total, just enjoy the pictures: Course - including the greens and tee boxes - very well maintained and clean.

Wonderful course, I liked the layout full off opportunity to score and traps to fall in. I will certainly find an opportunity to return.
