The course itself plays fine and fair, with the many bunkers providing most of the challenge. The setting is calm and peaceful, though the views stay ordinary. The fairways are the finest we have played in the Czech Republic, and the greens ran superbly fast again. Full credit to the greenkeepers. Our expectations of the wider experience were considerably higher. The welcome on the first tee was a nice touch: a bottle of water each and advice on which tee suited our game. After that, the course offers no drinking water stations at all, which matters on a 30 degree day. The driving range is limited, and the holes lack a course guide or information boards. We heard in advance that the dry conditions ruled out buggies, so we reserved two electric trolleys well ahead of time (confirmed). One stood ready. The second reached us on the fourteenth hole. A slow four-ball ahead of us waved nobody through, and no marshal appeared to step in. Hence a five and a half hour round. A pleasant surprise waited at hole 19: our clubs were cleaned on arrival. Before the round would have made more sense? A decent golf course with excellent turf. The facilities, the service and the pace of play fall short of the €360 we paid for two players.

Wir spielten im Rahmen der Lionstrophy den Platz mit einer gruppe von 25 Spielern. Übungsanlage darf erst eine halbe Stunde vor Abschlag benützt werden, was ziemlich schade und unsinnig ist. Die Übungsanlage war aber in einem top Zustand und das Übungsgrün ziemlich gleich schnell wie die Greens am Platz selbst - was relativ selten ist. Die Platzpflege war in einem sehr guten Zustand. Greens eher schnell. Das Restaurant im Clubhaus sieht sehr schön aus, das Service ist aber mit einer Gruppe von 25 Personen ziemlich überfordert. Reception sehr freundlich. Leider haben sie nur wenige Buggys. Als Abschluß gab es für jeden Spieler noch ein Geschenk vom Caddymaster - Anhänger mit eingravieren Namen.

Deze baan ligt vlak onder Praag en hier heeft de DP world tour in 2024 nog gespeeld. Deze inland linkscourse is prachtig ontworpen en is de topbaan van Tsjechië. P ruimte is er voldoende en bij aankomst is er al hulp bij het uitladen van de golftassen en trolleys. Het Clubhuis is erg compact maar van alle gemakken voorzien. Na het aanmelden in de bescheiden Pro shop bij de vriendelijke caddymaster konden we een halfuurtje voor de starttijd naar de drivingrange. De ballen lagen al klaar en zijn inbegrepen bij de greenfee. Tijdens het inslaan van de grasrange werden de clubs direct weer schoon gemaakt en mr Egghead keek ook even mee. Wat een ongelofelijke service. Ook zijn er voldoende chip en put greens om te oefenen en gelijk werd het duidelijk de de snelheid van de green ver bovengemiddeld zijn.Een drieputt is hier zo gemaakt. Het onderhoud is van grote klasse en de baan is er uitdagend met soms wel wat langere holes erbij. Er zijn vijf verschillende tee's Zwart goud zilver koper jade en het is verstandig om het advies van de starter op te volgen. Zo begon ik van zilver en dat bleek de juiste keuze. De holes lopen wat scheef soms dus je moet goed opletten waar heen te spelen desondanks is er veel ruimte een vind je makkelijk je bal weer terug mocht je niet de fairway raken. Er is een halfway house met koffie thee en water en diverse toiletten door de baan. De stilte en de vergezichten zijn prachtig en inderdaad de greens super snel en strak. Na afloop werden de clubs nogmaals gereinigd door het personeel en ontvingen we een metalen badge voor an de tas met je naam erop als souveniertje, erg attent. Op het knusse maar mooie terras nog wat gedronken en je kan er ook prima genieten van een mooie menukaart maar daar hebben wij geen gebruik van gemaakt en zijn vervolgens op doorreis gegaan verder Tsjechië in om nog meer golfbanen te spelen. Deze bleek in ieder geval een goede start te zijn van de buitencategorie in service en kwaliteit. PS hier betaal je voor vergelijkbare banen in de eu makkelijk 250 a300 euro aan greenfee dus is het een koopje om hier voor 175 pp te kunnen spelen een mustplay baan dus. Grt

PGA National Czech Republic (Oaks Prague) offers a truly fantastic golf experience. The clubhouse is beautiful and exudes a sense of luxury, perfectly matched by the excellent service. Our clubs were thoroughly cleaned both before and after the round, a small but impressive touch. The driving range is top-class, with real grass tees and complimentary balls. The course itself is in outstanding condition — the greens are immaculate and run true, while the fairways are beautifully maintained. The layout is fun, fair, and offers a good challenge for golfers of all levels. Overall, this is a very enjoyable and professional course that is absolutely worth visiting.

I had my fellow ambassador from Spain coming to Czech and obviously we wanted to play The best course in Czech.

We were pretty lucky to book teetime on no rainy day, which we expect on weekend.

I already played OAKS 3 years ago and were pretty amazed, so we were looking forward to niche experience.

Arriving to course you already feel special, everything is mastered to small detail.

Last time I visited the clubhouse was not ready, however this time the clubhouse, renovated Chateau is ready for our visit.

Entering the door we are warmly greeted by staff, as we were already at the parking lot, despite the bit rainy and cold weather, everyone is doing perfect job.

Fast and pleasant checking into the game at reception. Buying some small staff like logo ball and some other collectibles. Must mention that pro shop might be small but offering decent choices in case you are short on balls or without polo.

Still have a bit time so we checked the restaurant and other amenities and all is perfect there.

And now its time to hit the balls. We are instructed by starter where to find the 1st tee and he also walks us there.

Getting scorecard, tees and some quick instructions, we start the game.

First opening hole is very nice, downhill short par 4 about 320meters. Alongside the 18th fairway on the left. Moving to next hole again quite friendly par 4 with nice trees surrounding fairway. This hole is bit tricky, since the fairway is sloped to the hazard on the left, green is even trickier. Course is starting to take the tax on our shots. Next hole is nice par 3 with lake on the right, about 140m long. After this you cross the road to the club and going to middle part of the OAKS, which is more open and kind of links style. Not much grown trees there, however decent rough and deep bunkers everywhere. Since I mentioned bunkers I have to say that I never seen better bunker maintenance than there. They are PGA Tour quality, and have to then to maintenance team for perfect job.

Since we are in the middle of the game, its time to mention the half way house. Its offer quick refreshment and you do not have to worry if you are short on cash, you can pay with QR code, so thank you for it as well.

Last part of the course is again surrounded with trees and old Oaks. Starting with hole 12, bit longer par 4 however still scorable if you are accurate player, because its probably the most narrow fairway on whole course.

I really love back nine, because it offer s more interesting shots.

It would be a bit difficult to choose the signature hole for me, however if I have to choose I would say 16th and I really love 3 and 11th.

Finishing on 18th and driving to parking lot, we are offered to have clubs clean, so we much appreciated it.

After the game we have great talk with manager and share our opinions and feelings, over the delicious lunch in restaurant.

Its great experience and one of the top 50 courses in Europe, its must to play. Thanks for great hospitality, for sure we will come back.
