Golf Club Linz St. Florian

For many years I was so much looking forward to play this course which is part of The Leadingcourses of Austria. Finally I was passing by so I took the opportunity to enjoy it. Arriving through narrow tree line makes you feel like royalty. Parking next to old castle in nicely shaded parking lot with trees. Clubhouse is filled with history of the club. Quick check in and tasty lunch in restaurant before the game. From restaurant terrace you can overlook 18th green, first tee, putting green and also the driving so all very nicely in one place. What is visible at first sight is the undisputed high level of maintenance. Course is parkland style with very nice design, where each hole is really different. There is many interesting shots with elevation changes as well. I'm not the person who goes for Tiger line, but there is always opportunity to be rewarded for brave shots and big heart. Personally have to say that front nine is more warming up with need for long shots, where back nine is offering more technical shots and also more water hazard. Overall its incredible place with great quality worth every Eur spend for green fee. For sure I will come back one day.

Met hoge verwachtingen naar deze baan afgereisd, maar vond het toch wel wat tegenvallen. De oprijlaan ziet er imposant uit aan het eind hiervan ligt het kasteel met daar naast het clubhuis. Bij de receptie vriendelijk te woord gestaan, kleine pro shop en restaurant met terras zien goed uit. Met name de baan viel toch wat tegen veel hole’s lijken op elkaar en lopen parallel aan elkaar, fairway's wat hobbelig en greens niet echt snel. Al met al voor mijn geen baan om nog eens naar terug te keren.

Den wunderschönen Parklandplatz Tillysburg haben wir in Verbindung mit dem Haubenlokal Keplingerwirt in St. Johann am Wimberg (Mühlviertel) gespielt. Es war ein Packageangebot.

Sehr gepflegte und abwechslungsreiche 18-Loch Anlage mit einigen interessanten Herausforderungen.

Freundliches Personal im Sekretariat und Restaurant, das eine reichhaltige Karte und dute Qualität bietet.

Ein jährliches Muss ist der 18-Loch-Leading-Golf-Course Tillysburg.
