Platz wurde gespielt bei einem Besuch von Muscat mit dem Kreuzfahrtschiff, die Fahrt ca. 20 Minuten. Toller Empfang am Bag Drop mit 1A Service von den Mitarbeitern vor Ort, zügiger Check in. Möchte man zur Driving Range, wird man begleitet da der Weg dorthin ein paar Minuten dauert. Natürlich spielen hier alle obligatorisch mit einem Golf Cart. Bringt auf jeden Fall genug Bälle mit :-) Der Zustand des Platzes war wie perfekt, Abschläge, Fairways und Grüns alle in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Platzdesign auch sehr abwechslungsreich und die Löcher am Wasser natürlich besonders optisch eine Augenweide. Wir hatten relativ viel Wind, was das spielen nicht erleichterte, zum Teil bis zu 3 Schläger Wind. Auch für den Sonnenbrand muss man dann aufpassen, da es sich gar nichts so warm anfühlt. Sollte man in der Gegen sein, kann man eine Runde hier nur empfehlen.

Al Mouj is one of the three 18s in Muscat. It is located near the airport and although there is a road with several lanes a short distance from the course, there is no noise at all. From the first hole, you see perfectly shaped bunkers. And the quality of the fairways and greens. The only structure is near the tee of the fifth hole, a par 3 with an island green. The best passage starts on the ninth hole with a drive over the sea. The top hole is the tenth with insanely perched bunkers along both sides of the fairway, plus water in front of the narrow green. The following long par three is the signature hole. The passage along the sea ends on the 13th hole. There is one last hole to play along the coast. By design and quality, it is the best course in Oman.

De baan gespeeld tijdens de Audi finale en echt we een topbaan. Zeer goed onderhouden en stuk voor stuk holes om in te kaderen. Zeer vriendelijke en professionele ontvangst. Ze zijn ook hier veel aan het bouwen dus binnen enkele jaren zal hier een waarschijnlijk een zeer mooi clubhuis staan.( nu een mooie tent)
