Chi è Westlake Golf Club
Our 18-hole parkland style course was designed by our very own members. With consultation and advice from professionals, many significant improvements have been made over the years. Our greens are all Poa Annua which is a very delicate grass that requires lots of "TLC" but if managed correctly, delivers an excellent putting surface. Fairways, semi-rough, tee boxes and rough are mainly Kikuyu, as is the standard in South Africa. The golf course is meticulously managed on a daily basis with the greens and the bunkers being maintained each day. The fairways and rough are mowed weekly and although the rough can be tough at times, we at Westlake like to pride ourselves in delivering a true test of golf. We have a driving range which is a short warm-up area of distances no more than 160m. There are two chipping / putting greens surrounded by one bunker to sharpen your short game.

Westlake GolfThe westlake gc is a nice course in the south of CapeTown on the way to the real south of south africa. The course has nice holes and we were lucky that we could play with members. There information safe us some balls and an accpetable round with 94. Also hardly any 3 putts. we could use that the slopes away from the mountains helps us also. Because of the windy conditions, which seems to be quite normal also there is was handy he was available with advice.. The course was in good condition and this Parkland course was nice to play.

Westlake GolfHet waaide heel erg hard toen we hier speelde. Echte stadsbaan met veel omgevingsgeluiden. We mochten wel fijn met zijn tweeen spelen (we werden dus niet ingedeeld). Leuk om een jeer te spelen, maar niet echt voor herhaling vatbaar.

Westlake GolfGreat easy to access and playable course. The greens are reasonable and the fairways are neat and well maintained. Nice people and a good midway facility.

Westlake Golfc'est par un fort vent que j'ai joué Westalke
Ce parcours n'est pas très motivant, on va et l'on revient dans le sens de la pente; c'est plat avec quelques arbres pour délimiter les trous
L'entrée n'est pas des plus belles, il faut déboucher sur le Pro-shop pour voir le parcours
Il n'y a pas de gros "pièges", pas d'obstacles d'eau (si ce n'est le réservoir pour les oies d'Egypte très, trop nombreuses, ce qui engendre beaucoup de déjections autour des greens en particulier.

Westlake GolfGoing to Cape Town will always be a windy experience… Westlake GC is a little bit hilly parkland course. Only 5800m from the backtee but it was well protected with the 5 club wind which is apparently pretty common.
A 15 min break after 9 was compulsory. A beer and no wind for a short while.
A good warmup course for the rest of a golftrip. Not to difficult and in good condition.
The wind though?
