Lostwithiel Hotel Golf & Country ClubNo clubhouse, no practice area, no restaurant… just an AMAZING golfcourse. One that I would love to have in my neighborhood. You park your car, walk 50 meters to where it says entrance, and you’ll see a lovely old van. Scan the code, pay (just £15 for 9 holes - par 37). Huge height difference (hole 2 has an extreme depth) and very nicely layer out. Unbelievable scenery and views.
Very quiet, maybe because people think they need 18 holes. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Lostwithiel Hotel Golf & Country ClubHet was even zoeken. Parkeren aan de overkant van de weg naar beneden lopen, links af staat een bus. Bij dat busje staat een bord waar je een QR code kan scannen om te reserveren. Wat overigens vrij eenvoudig te doen was. Ik kon meteen starten.
De baan was verrassend goed onderhouden en de greens waren perfect en dat voor £15,00 voor 9 holes. Vooral hole 3 was een uitdaging, steil naar beneden. Ik heb mij prima vermaakt op een zeer rustige goed onderhouden baan. De week nog een keer spelen maar dan 18 holes met enig verschil dat je van een andere teebox slaat.

9 bucheGillyflower Golf is a 9 hole course with 18 separate tees, offering golfers the choice of a front 9, back 9 or 18 holes. Cunningly placed tees mean that no hole feels the same and a full round of 18 holes feels as fresh and exciting as an 18 hole course. A crop of edible fruit and nut trees, unique to each hole, gives each it's own character, as well as a splash of colour, whilst natural features like the great fallen oak in the middle of the course combine to create one of the most picturesque and distinctive golf courses in the UK.
