Golf Club Verbier

Kaum gerade Bahnen; hügelig, unübersichtlich, ausschließlich Hanglagen: daher steht man meist unter oder über dem Ball - tw. in krassen Winkeln - und es ist angeraten, viel "über Bande" zu spielen, um den Ball an der gewünschten Stelle zum Liegen zu bringen! Course-Kenntnisse i.V. mit präzisem Spiel sind auch wg. der tw. kleinen Grüns notwendig. Tolle Aussichten und sehr guter Platzzustand einschl. der Grüns fordern einen immer wieder heraus, ihn doch zu spielen! Achtung: Außerhalb der CH-Ferien aufgrund der massiven Bautätigkeiten in Verbier stundenlange, SEHR störende Hubschraubertransporte. Dennoch gibt es keinerlei Greenfee-Ermäßigungen

Golf courses like Verbier always deserve a "hats off" for the good will and determination of their owners as it takes a lot of courage to build a golf course on such terrain and altitude. The layout is not that bad at all and it is actually quite playable considering the fact that it was built on hilly and sloped terrain next to the Verbier ski slopes at an altitude of 1.800 meters. The Les Esserts course is a Par-69 which measures 4.867 meters and it is well known for its technical attributes. The layout is technically demanding and it will bring the players back to the very essence of the game which means that the right club choice will be very important, as well as smart play and precision off the tee. The club shuttle will take the players from the clubhouse to the 1st tee which is also next to the driving range. You tee off at 1.800 meters and finish with a nice downhill Par-3 at 1.600 meters. There are some very nice holes to be played and most of all you will be rewarded with beautiful views.  My favorite holes are the following: Dogleg left Par-4 13th. Short Par-4 8th hole which is actually drivable if you have the guts, length and precision. The 10th is another short but lovely Par-4 with well protected green. 14th is another short but good Par-4 with a large green. The 6th hole is my favorite Par-5 which will reward good drives. The 2nd hole is right up there as well. My favorite Par-3 is the steep downhill 7th hole - but make sure you read the sign on the tee box and take the right club. 9th is another good mid length Par-3. The only major downside are the finishing holes... The uphill Par-4 15th and 16th hole which are a bit too much in my opinion and they spoil the overall good experience. It is almost impossible to hit a decent tee shot on these two holes as you actually have a wall in front of you on the tee box (especially on the 15th). All those players which can not hit high drives better take your mid or long iron or a hybrid in the best case and don't even think of hitting it thin. The greens on these two holes are quite a challenge as well so good luck with your approach shots. Not sure about the dogleg right Par-4 17th as well.

Parcours assez court mais surprenant et vraiment amusant. Tenir compte des dévers (qui parfois ramène un slice sur le fairway).

Bon entretien. Pentes subtiles sur les greens.

Conseil : prendre la voiturette pour les 4 derniers trous, quasi indispensable.

De baan moet je kennen. Lastig als je nieuw bent. Als je de bean Kent, heel interessant.

Parcours de montagne avec un particularité qui est (on vous monte au départ avec un fourgon... ensuite vous avez 14 trous plus ou moins en descente et ensuite deux trous (Par4) qui grimpe tellement qu'on vous propose de louer une voiturette juste pour terminer les 4 derniers trous. Beaucoup de trous en aveugle mais malgré tout je vous invite à aller le découvrir au moins une fois car il est vraiment atypique.
