Akasia Country Club

Akasia Golfclub which is situated north of Pretoria is 25 years old golfcourse and in good condition. Maybe classified as a parkland course however with "bushveld, indigenous trees, and not dangerous wildlife" a pleasure to play 18 holes. De "Boepenspruit" stream meanders through the course and water comes into play on most of the holes. There are 5 par 5's and 5 par 3's and the kikuyu gras makes pitching not easy. Also the greens are undulated and quick, so this will test your short game. Hole 3 is a difficult long par 4 and hole 18 needs also some attention with water close to the green As usual greenfee is not a problem 2 players + golfcart is 550 rand during weekdays. At the halfway house (mandatory in SA) nice snack and drinks and also at the clubhouse food and drinks plenty. Recommended when in the Pretoria area.
