Golf Du Rhin

Golf du Rhin is a fantastic golfcourse with challenging holes. We received a very nice welcome and the practice facilities were good. Teeboxes and green were very good, fairways were a little bit dry due to the high temperatures. The sceneries were very nice and you have to play the golfcours once more to know where to aim add from the teeboxes. Restaurant was good and we enjoyed playing this golfcourse.

During practice, the emergency signal sounded due to thunderstorms. When we were able to hit the course half an hour later, the fairways appeared to have handled the downpour remarkably well. The course itself is not very difficult to play. Many 'back and forth' holes we found a bit on the boring side. Worth noting: although the course is in France, it also charges a higher green fee on bank holidays in Germany and Switzerland. Interesting business model.

From friendly booking through Email to arrival on "ile du rhin" very good start. Easy to access from motorway - which can be heard unfortunately, like wind noise. Well maintained practice area, although range is a bit short with ~220m. Almost new, rather soft range balls... a positive. Started with long distance to ladies tournament, but catched up quickly on relaxed Wednesday. Course is well maintained, greens pretty well already. I liked the combination of narrow and longer par4s, often water or out of bounds on one side - not easy to play.
