HEITLINGER Golf Resort

A fantastic golf destination that offers much more than just 18 holes. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed by a beautiful clubhouse featuring a wellness area with a sauna and fitness room. The spacious terrace overlooking the course is the perfect place to relax before or after your round – ideally with a glass of the resort's own wine. The practice facilities are excellent, with a modern Toptracer driving range located right next to the 1st tee. The front nine have recently been slightly redesigned, giving the course an even better flow. I especially enjoyed the opening hole – starting with a par 5 is always a great way to begin a round. The first nine are relatively flat except the Par 3 and enjoyable to walk, while the back nine become much more undulating and strategic. The challenge starts immediately on the 10th hole. The 11th is extremely narrow, but at least it's straight ahead! One of the most memorable holes is the 12th, while the 16th features an impressively deep bunker – it honestly feels like the bunker face is even higher than some of those at The Open Championship. The closing hole is a spectacular par 3 played over the vineyards, creating a unique finish. Those vineyards also produce the resort's own Albatross Wine, which is definitely worth trying after your round. To top it all off, we enjoyed an excellent meal on the clubhouse terrace. Great golf, outstanding facilities, beautiful scenery and very good food – Heitlinger Golf Resort is absolutely worth a visit.

Enjoyed day-off, exploring this place with sunrise. Very friendly team allowed to start the round at 7am, with some nice greenkeepers still on course - but no distractions in any ways. Reached the course about 20 minutes away from motorway, which is still a bit to drive - unfortunately apple maps did not bring me easily to parking and tee1 - I missed some signage obviously. The consists of several hotels, golfclub and winery. The club house is very well maintained, includes restaurant, well sorted - actually quite big - proshop and oversees some tee1, green 3 and 9. The course as such is well thought-through, getting best out of terrain - playing along country-side of Kraichgau close to some wineyards. Course is very well maintained, although some greens and tee boxes showed the wear and tear of the ongoing season and wet sunny weather. I liked the strech of the holes 7 to 9 very much: no. 7 as par3 going down, almost 200m long. No.8 is a fine par5 asking for a draw drive and a fade to get into approach. No.9 is a nice par 4, with water and some pond infront of the green. The back9 beginns with an almost blind shot on 10, narrow fairway into 11 - but sporty. No. 12 is at least for my average length tough dogleg: Blind shot up the hill, a second blind one around the corner - didn‘t enjoy this too much, playing the course for the first time. Actually the cource asked a lot from me, on the back 9 - carrying my bag. Overall I think, the bunkers are well placed and greens are fast. Fairways are mostly forgiving, although you need to calculate with downwards roll most of the time. Overall Heitlinger seems to offer an interesting package, for overnight stay: Wine, food, golf - and 9 holes front nine, unless you want it really sportive and your play is precise.

Baan met veel hoogteverschillen. Eerste 9 holes zijn een mooie opwarmer voor de tweede, veel pittigere,9 holes. Erg verrassend leuke golfbaan. Veel variatie qua lay-out van de holes. Baan is in goede conditie, fairways goed onderhouden, snelle greens. Ook prima faciliteiten [driving range, putting en chipping area]. Verder grote kleedruimten en golfshop.

Voor de duidelijkheid, het hotel ligt niet aan de golfbaan [op 2 minuten rijden]. Bij verblijf in het hotel ontvang je reductie op de greenfee.

Beautiful golf course surrounded by dreamlike nature in the midst of vineyards. State-of-the-art clubhouse, with huge changing rooms, fitness room and saunas. The resort also has 2 hotels. One of them is built in a similar style to the clubhouse and the other in a country house style, both are very nice. The food in the restaurant convinces not only with fabulous taste, but also with reasonable prices. The course is in top condition and the greens are perfect. The training facilities also convince with professionalism, cleanliness and also with a top tracer system on the entire driving range. I will definitely be back.

Ein wunderschöner Golfplatz mitten in der Natur mit einer modernen driving range und Clubhaus. Ein Hôtel gibt es auch. Der Platz ist in einwandfreiem Zustand und hat einfach Spaß gemacht.
