Een zeer gevarieerde heuvelachtige baan. Met blindshot, doglegs naar links en rechts. Zeker geen makkelijke baan. De ligging bij de afslag is veelal belangrijk. De Greens waren snel en soms moeilijk te lezen. Het personeel is vriendelijk en de baan is goed onderhouden. Zonder buggy is het te doen. Het is wel wat klimmen bij hole 2 en naar hole 17.

Gerhelm is a microcosmos of everything that makes a round of golf a perfect day’s out.

The hospitality of this course was perfect. Unforunately, since we played on a monday, the restaurant and beer garden were closed; but still the caddymaster served the coffee as well. However, the picture of the old farm house / club house with terrace and schaeferkarrn (a kind of gipsy carriage which could actually accomodate a flight of 4) is iconic.

The atmosphere is spot on Bavarian and cosy; with the dressing rooms in the shed. But inside it is all modern and tidy.

The course is set in the middle of the hilly countryside of the Nürnberger land and is likewise hilly; (“ ein Kurs für Gemse”, a flight-companion on another course told me) and most of all it is beautiful. It makes for a very diverse and attractive course. There are no boring holes in this course. The only drawback is the routing – playing 9 holes you need to play holes 8 and 18 consequently. This might cause delays on 18, though we did not experience that. The course both challenges your course management (e.g. hole 8 and 9), and satisfies your gung ho.

Gerhelm is a hidden gem which I would recommend anyone who doesn’t mind the exercise.

Ein kleiner, aber sehr feiner Platz, da abwechslungsreich und herausfordernd. Hanglage mal rechts mal links. Bahnen mal lang und weit, mal kurz und tricky. Spannende Wasserhindernisse. Der Platz ist eingebettet in einer schönen Natur mit Wald und Wiesen.

Abschluss im urigen Wirtshaus "Schäferkarr´n".

Great place. Good cultivated course with a diversified layout. The staff is very friendly and mindful. A nice restaurant with a typical Bavaria beergarden is part of golf club. The food is good.

Dans la région pour qqs jours et situé à moins de 30’ du centre de nuremberg, un parcours vallonné et plutôt bien entretenu.

On appréciera le club house pour son atmosphère typique de la Bavière et l’accueil parfait même si la frontière de la langue de Goethe pour un anglophone aurait pu être un frein.

J ai adoré le dessous de la grange avec les voiturettes de garées!
