Freundlicher Empfang, kompetenter Check In, gutes Restaurant im Club. Die Spielbahnen 1-11 sind im Schlosspark angelegt - tolle Atmosphäre, gepflegte Spielbahnen und exzellente Greens. Der Baumbestand sorgt auch bei heißen Tagen für Abkühlung. Ab Hole 12 geht’s in die Berge … Atemberaubende Fairways - mit dem Cart gut begehbar - präzise Schläge und Taktik sind gefragt! Wir hatten viel Spaß auf der Runde. Empfehlenswert!

Gesamteindruck positiv. Herzliche Willkommen. Sekretariat freundlich und kompetent. Die ersten 11 Löcher als Parklandcourse, dann wird sehr steil. Alles Löcher interessant und abwechslungsreich. Leider für ein grösseres Wohnmobil im Clubbereich keine Parkmöglichkeit. Ausserhalb jedoch ok (100m zu Fuss).

Die Anlage ist eine unbedingte Empfehlung für fortgeschrittene Golfer!

Viele Hindernisse, schmale Spielbahnen und schwierige Greens sind hier die Herausforderungen. Dennoch sollte man diesen tollen Platz gespielt haben, denn die ersten Löcher sind wie ein klassischer Parkkurs angelegt, während die letzten Löcher spektakuläre Höhenunterschiede bieten!

Die Wegweiser konnten besser sein und auch die Übungseinrichtungen fallen im Vergleich zum Gesamteindruck leider etwas ab. Dafür entschädigt das Restaurant mit einer tollen Speisekarte und top Service.

Golfclub Schloss Frauenthal is a story of two tales. The first 11 holes are parkland golf over flat terrain. Then the course turns into Mountain golf. Most of the members on the day I played skipped these holes. But they are more interesting to play than the previous holes. Just a harder walk.

The signature hole is hole 11. A short par 3 of 88 meters from the back tee with an island green. The surrounding is quite nice with the clubhouse in the background and an old villa (is that castle Frauenthal?) to the right. I preferred the par 3 6th hole though which plays over a pond and the green is built into the hill on the back.

The finishing stretch of holes are true mountain golf then. Holes 12,13 & 17 play severly uphill. Holes 15 and 18 severly downhill. The 15th hole is the best hole on the course. This par 4 is a dogleg right at a length of 320 meters. The green is driveable but on my first time playing the course I played it safe with an iron off the tee. Next time I will try my luck.?

Die ersten 11 Löcher schöner Parkkurs, die letzten 7 Löcher sehr hügelig, braucht man gute Kondition.
