Golf Costa Daurada

Potentially a beautiful golf course, but it currently needs a little more maintenance. A major storm has caused significant damage to many trees, and unfortunately, a lot of the fallen and damaged trees have not yet been removed. The atmosphere, however, is excellent: relaxed, welcoming, and with very friendly people. The course itself has a lot of potential and could be truly beautiful. The changing rooms also look a little neglected, and unfortunately, no towels were available. With a little more care and attention to maintenance, this could be not just a good golf course, but a fantastic one. There is definitely a lot of potential here.

Vandaag waren we hier voor de tweede keer. Het blijft een feestje om op deze baan te spelen. Mooie greens (onlangs gezand), doch snel en mooie fairways. Als je jouw bal wat buiten de fairway slaat, is hij altijd te vinden.

Een prachtige baan, iets ten noorden van Tarragona. De baan ligt prachtig in zijn natuurlijke omgeving. Geen overdreven aanpassingen. Mooie vergezichten. Zowel de greens als de fairways zijn goed onderhouden. We hebben er met veel plezier gespeeld. Bij een volgende reis gaan we hier zeker weer naar toe.

The course is quite straightforward overall. Fairways are generally wide enough and it’s not overly demanding, so it’s a relaxed round more than a test. A few holes are nice and you can enjoy them, but I didn’t come off remembering anything in particular. Condition was okay, not bad but not at that “top resort” level either. Greens were playable, just a bit inconsistent in places. It feels like a course that gets a lot of play and you can notice it here and there. The setting is pleasant with some views around, and it’s an easy place to walk which helps. Pace of play was fine when we were there. Staff were friendly and everything ran smoothly, so no complaints on that side. Overall it’s a decent course to include if you’re nearby or on a golf trip, just don’t go expecting something spectacular.

Easy course to just turn up and play. No real standout holes, everything feels quite similar from start to finish. Condition is fine, nothing special. Good for a relaxed round, but compared to others nearby it’s pretty average.
