Golf Saint Gabriel

Compétition avec l’association dont je fais partie.

A nine hole course of two halves with the first 4 holes in a valley and the last 5 on the side of a large hill.

The firs 2 holes are straightforward but the 3rd has a sting in the finish with a small green protected by a lake to the front and right and a tree lined ditch to the left extending beyond the green. The 4th is a dog leg left with a sloping fairway willing the ball to run to the ditch and bunkers on that side. From then on it is up hill and down dale, the par 5 9th hole the most interesting. There is also a 6 hole par 3 course which is the default on most GPS watches.

The approach to the clubhouse is rather run down but the outside seating for the restaurant is well shaded by the mulberry trees and very pleasant.

Deux parcours sont proposés. Le premier un 9 trous agréable, assez technique, permet à la fois de se détendre mais demande assez de concentration pour pouvoir obtenir une bonne carte.

Le second est un compact, pas un pitch an putt, car composés de 6 trous dont un de 150 m, trois de 110 à 120 m (jaune), un de 50m et d'un dernier de 70m. Ce compact est vraiment agréable à jouer pour un tarif plus que correct.

un 9 trou au dessin parfois surprenant

malgré la saison pluvieuse les greens restent jouables, mais pas certains trous fermés pour cause d'inondation

le GF reste élevé par rapport à l'équipement proposé.
