On average, golf in Spain is far from cheap. Thanks to its preferred position climate-wise, green fee prices in the South of Spain can rise to well over €400 for a round of golf. Bonkers, isn't it? We understand that it's not just the round of golf you pay for, but sometimes, you just want to save some of that money for other stuff.

Luckily enough there are also quite some affordable golf courses in Spain that are well worth visiting. Their names might not ring a bell at first, but once you've visited them, you'll thank us for the tip.

Mijas Golf is situated in the valley of Mijas, north of Fuengirola, only twenty minutes from the Málaga international airport and Marbella, and 3.5 km. from the sea, in Andalusia. La Serena Golf lies in the municipality of Los Alcázares, right next to the Mar Menor. Mainly flat, the golf course´s main difficulties will be the prevailing Levante wind and the water hazards. Accuracy off the tee is a must for the player, who must thread his way to the green amongst clusters of bunkers, desert areas and the aforementioned water hazards.

Antequera Golf is situated 650 metres above sea level, between the Torcal mountains and la Vega de Antequera plains.
