Golfclub Montafon

Leuke golfbaan in het dal, tussen woonhuizen. Driving range lag 400 meter van de baan verwijderd. Relatief vlakke baan, hierdoor goed te lopen met push trolley. Goed onderhouden fairways, greens verdienen iets meer aandacht. Vriendelijke ontvangst.

I came back to Golfclub Montafon to play a tournament round there last weekend. The course was in great condition. On the scorecard and also on the tee box it looks easy but the course plays tough as ever. There was nothing to win there for me on this day but the members were very friendly and the food in the clubhouse after the round was tasty. So all good.

Visited Golfclub Montafon recently again. The course was in good shape. It's tough to play your handicap on the course with its 6 par 3s on the 9 holes. But it's a good course to learn the game or to play with kids.

Leuke vlakke baan in het dal. Best wel lastig als je voor de eerste keer speelt.

right after Rankweil Golf Club, we recommend leaving your driver and clubs you don't trust in the trunk of your car. The course has six par threes, and on three in a row to start. Hitting the small greens is not easy. On the par four comes a par five, and then after a longer transition, a trio of par threes again, the last of which has an island green. The extreme is the eighth, a 542-yard par 5. It is the longest hole in western Austria. The last hole, the only par four, has the back of the green near the water of the hazard. Nothing easy at the end either.
