Albatross Golf Resort

Without a doubt, the best-maintained golf course we have played in the Czech Republic. The fairways were immaculate, the greens exceptionally fast (with many 3-puts as a result) and the tee boxes in perfect condition. Huge compliments to the greenkeeping team! We also really enjoyed the course itself. It is beautifully quiet, very enjoyable and relaxing to play and offers a great overall golfing experience. In terms of challenge, we found it less demanding than Karlštejn and Brno, which remain our favourite courses, with Albatross in third place. We paid €295 for two green fees and one buggy. A memorable round on a beautifully maintained course.

Pro: -The maintenance level is extremely high. -In the dryest summer ever, the fairways were lush and soft. -Excellent tee boxes. Large & flat. -The rough is quite thin & short. Most of the time you will find your ball. -Good greens with multiple levels. Not easy! Getting your ball on the green in regulation is not a guarantee for a par. -5 Tee boxes. A tee box for every level. -Several nice toilets on the golf course. -Extensive practice facilities. Huge driving range, multiple chipping, approach and putting greens. I could spend a whole day just practicing here! -They even have a bar at the driving range! -Friendly starter at hole 1. -Good signs with layout on every hole. Very useful. -Great clubhouse. Very nice bar. Nice pro shop. Good locker rooms. Big parking. -Fantastic terrace with view on the golf course. -Peaceful surroundings. -Views on the Bohemian hills. -On course beverage cart with a very friendly cart girl. -There’s some very interesting holes that grab you by the throat. For example hole 12. -Some holes have beautiful water hazards. Behind the green of hole 16 there even is a waterfall. -The greenfee is not overpriced. Con: -I’m not the biggest fan of the design. Perhaps because of my limited golfing skills. It seems like a lot of holes are designed to be a risk/reward-hole, without the safe option. It feels like every place where a tee shot would land, there are hazards and the fairway gets very narrow. I’m not against that, if there is also a safe side to play the hole. I did not find that safe side. -The first holes miss a bit of X-factor.

Wat een fantastische baan is dit. Stond al heel lang op de lijst, en eindelijk gespeeld. 40 minuten vanuit het centrum van Praag deels over landelijke weggetjes. Prima clubhuis en oefenfaciliteiten, grote parkeerplaats maar meest belangrijk een fantastische baan. Makkelijk te lopen, veel afwisseling in de goles, licht glooiend, brede fairways die er onberispelijk bij lagen, niet al te ingewikkelde rough, snelle greens 10.7 toen wij er waren. Catering buggy in the baan, wij waren ruim binnen de vier uur rond op een zondagochtend. Voor deze prijs, 115 euro, een koopje.

Von der Ankunft in der Reception bis zum Essen im Clubhaus alles bestens. Wir haben im Rahmen der Lionstrophy den Platz mit einer Gruppe von 20 Personen gespielt. Die Abschläge sind herausragend: gerade, top gepflegt und alle Divots vom Vortag repariert. Die Fairways sind bestes gepflegt und die Greens schnell und spurtreu. Auch die Übungsanlage ist in einem sehr guten Zustand. Da es 38 Grad C hatte war auf der 10 ein Zelt mit gekühlten Handtüchern und gekühlten Getränken aufgebaut - zur freien Entnahme. Ein absolut top Golftag. Vielen Dank an alle Mitwirkenden im Club!
