Aldenham Golf Club

My first visit to the course and must say was pleasantly surprised.

Great setting in a quaint village area, very warm welcome from the club as part of a society day.

Quite a tight course which in turn leads to making you think about your shots in general.

The tee boxes were a little long but on finishing the ground staff were attending to that to have them in great condition.

Greens were very good and true.

Parking was very good and the club house very nice

Well worth a visit.

It’s not Aldenham’s fault that it’s just off the M25 but a three hour drive through several traffic jams did not endear me to the club on arrival. Fortunately the day got much better from then on. The Church course is hard but fair with plenty of trees and testing greens. A warmish welcome in the clubhouse rounded off a nice afternoon. I’d definitely recommend a visit to Aldenham but leave plenty of time to get there if you’re negotiating the M25 during rush hour!

I was staying near this club. Went there for a round. Nice course. Park. Not to difficult but challenging enough for my handicap (13). Nice pro shop. Very hospitable. Played 9 holes alone and second nine with a member. I had a great time. Prepare for very fast greens. I think 9 or 10 on the stimp!

Great value for money with friendly accommodating staff. This is my short-notice go-to course in North London.
