Pebble Rock Golf Club

Pebble Rock on the east site of Pretoria offers for 220 rand a 18 holes bushveldt/parkland golf course. With exception of a putting green not much other practice facilities. But the course can be walked but golfcart are available. The greens and fairways are good but could be dry sometimes. There are sufficient water hazards and they come into play on about 9 holes so be careful and watch before you tee-off. A nice course to play and the clubhouse after your 18 holes is fully licensed with views over the course and if playing late a nice sunset when enjoying food and drinks.

Lots of work going on at the course. The back nine are great. Very cheap round of golf. Once the 6th hole area is complete i’ll go back for another game.

I’ve played this course a few times now. The front nine were having maintenance carried out which was not to much of a problem but took something away from the experience, especially around the 6th hole. The courses fairways have a lot of hard areas and stones if you land on these your ball could go anywhere. The back nine is great, i’ve Just played the back nine twice. The course will be at its best next year. Given all of the above the greens fees are the best in the Pretoria area and well worth the drive out for a round of golf. The pace is good and the clubhouse food and drinks as good as anywhere else. I have to mention the Pro-Shop and the staff. The Pro-shop could do with more merchandise but the staf are lovely and really helpful.

The golf course is a little challenging but lovely to play, absolutely worth every penny paid.

Op rondreis vanuit Golfbaanhandboek in Pretoria, kwamen we terecht op Pebble Rock GC nabij de Roodeplaat Dam en de Sable Hills Waterfront Estate. Hebben er niet gespeeld. Maakte een positieve en gastvrije indruk. Veel vogels op de baan. Oogt vlak met panorama's vanaf hoog terras over typisch Zuid-Afrikaans landschap van ruimte en losse bosjes, struiken en bomen. Opvallend de kinderspeelplaats, de foto's Retief Goosen in het clubhuis en de kledingvoorschriften.
