Devonvale Golf & Wine EstateBeautifully maintained golf course in the middle of a wine estate. We were linked to other players here. First set of players we were linked to, did not want to play with us. Good for us, because next set of players were very nice people, so we had a fun day. Nice and open fairways, good challenges for a mid level player. Restaurant was very good.

Devonvale Golf & Wine EstateIt's a pretty course in a nice surrounding. I enjoyed my round there but compared to other golf courses it is not in my favourites list.
Devonvale Golf & Wine EstateEin sehr schöner Golfplatz. Selbst für meine Frau als Anfängerin war der Platz genial. Schade, dass um 18:45 Uhr die Umkleideräume bereits abgeschlossen waren. Eine Dusche vor dem Restaurantbesuch war somit nicht mehr möglich.

Devonvale Golf & Wine EstateLeuke baan in de heuvels nabij Stellenbosch. Na een uitstekend ontbijt fijn gegolft. Mooie greens. Niet heel speciaal, maar een leuke ervaring rijker.
Devonvale Golf & Wine EstateHelaas deze keer een wat negatieve ervaring gehad. Er was geen starter, waardoor er vreemde zaken plaats vonden, nl. een groep van 7 speler in flight, die daarnaast zeer slecht konden golfen. Op de 2e 9 een 4 bal voor ons met wederom 2 spelers die waarschijnlijk voor het eerst op een golfbaan stonden. Geen doorloop werd on aangeboden, Geen Marshalls in de baan en het clubhuis nam de telefoon niet op

18 holesThe magnificent 18-hole Championship golf course needs little introduction, offering a regular challenge to both local and international golfers alike. The original layout, designed by Ken Elkin, who designed many of the Capes better known courses, has seen several improvements over the last 5 years and is constantly undergoing improvements but still remains a true ‘country course’. Devonvale is fortunate enough to have a large dam in the centre of the course, which feeds the irrigation system, and therefore the golf course doesn’t make use of potable water. About 90% of the water utilised is recycled or harvested and in 2006 Cape Irrigation Systems and Devonvale Golf course won the LIA Environmental Management Water Conservation Trophy for best practice water conservation. An important aspect of Devonvale’s existence is the hosting of tournaments. The estate has seen the hosting of the SA Ladies Open, Sunshine Tour, Provincial Opens, Interprovincial tournaments, Ernie Els foundations, SA Open Qualifying rounds, Interschools and Senior Opens and looks forward to hosting many more in the future as this forms part of Devonvale’s ethos.
