Creative design of course. on some holes 12;13 you have to drive across canyones and on nineth hole you have +-120 across the Pond. The scenic montain views are irresistable. The pro shop guys are very welcoming. Nice bathrooms.. As one drives out one cannot help but notice the attractive local hand made garment is on on sale by the roadside open air kioks. Artisinal lot the locals are.

This is must be one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. The views across the mountains and valleys, towards Mozambique and beyond, are magnificent. Waiting for the mist to clear in the morning is like watching a mirage become reality for a golf-thirsty visitor. The course is surprisingly well maintained in spite of its far off location and the troubles Zimbabwe as been going through. Many holes are beautiful, like no 8, with its palm tree surrounded green, protected by a small stony stream (where you don't want to land). Or the next, with a tee shot 160 meters across a pond, just below the club house.

The club house menu has its limitations and the practice area is limited. But the caddies seem to be able to find any ball, down in the ravines and in the thick forest. And up at the hotel there are nice terraces, a friendly bar, and restaurant.

For best experience one needs to choose the best times of the year, which would be March through May and November, depending on when the winter rains come.

The golf course is stunningly beautiful, with fantastic views over the mountains and valleys towards Mozambique. The beauty of the course may take your concentration off the game, but generally will put you in such a good mood that you may actually improve your score. The challenges of the course, with gullies to cross, slopes to play up and down and 160 meters of water to conquer on the ninth, in front of club house spectators are not for the weak-hearted, but will beg you to come back to try again. A must for any golfer in Zimbabwe, which by the way is a friendly country in spite of larger, national problems.
