Penang Golf Club (Bukit Jambul)

Der Platz machte einen guten Gesamteindruck, die Grüns waren gefühlt und schnell auch die Fairways waren einen guten Zustand insgesamt ein toller Golftag. Unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als erfüllt.

Golfplatz war sehr interessant und nicht unbedingt einfach zu spielen, es gab einige Höheunterschiede durch diese hat man sehr gute Ausblicke. Zustand könnte etwas besser sein, aber auf jeden Fall ausreichend. Natürlich spielt man auch hier mit einem Buggy und nach der Runde sollte man auf jeden Fall noch einen Drink nehmen. Zum Teil fand ich sehr dichtes und dickes Rough vor, ist ja auch eine andere Rasenart und somit finde ich etwas schwieriger zu spielen als in Europa.

The Penang Golf Club, is an 18-holepar 71 golf course of 5800m on Penang Island. It is more Chinese related as Malay and you see this when travelling the island. The course is undulated with bunkers at strategic places, water hazards encroaching into the playing area and rolling fairways that goes up and downhill.. The greens are well shaped and undulating, speed is fine. The fairways and tee boxes are surfaced with Bermuda grass while the greens are of Tiff Dwarf. During play golfers can glimpse a stunning panoramic view of Penang including her two bridges that link Penang Island to the Malaysian mainland. Lush green vegetation and hills surround the course and chirping birds. Flora of tropical and fruit trees and herbs like the palm, durian, pineapple, tecoma, pandan, and coconut add character to the course. The clubhouse and terrace are also well maintained and good service will take you easy 2 drinks.
