Ban Rakat Club - Ballyshear Golf Links

Fairway almost 50% are brown in colour. Green very slow. Changing room shower water pressure very weak.

A beautiful and tough golf course. It makes a real change from other courses in the Bangkok area with its links layout. So much fun to play, with tricky, but true, greens. I would recommend anyone coming to Bangkok to play here.

The clubhouse is stunning and Japanese / Thai food in restaurant extremely good. All staff well trained and friendly.

Great driving range where you can hit off grass.

I had a very memorable 18 holes at Ballyshear. It certainly resembles links course minus the sea. There are hardly any trees and with lots of bunkers. I felt like I can definitely score better if I played it again as what I thought was a good shot unfortunately would end up in the sand or the rough mainly due to the wind, lots of run and limited knowledge of the layout. The fairways and greens were immaculate but because of the rainy season, the greens played slow. Customer service from registration, locker room convenience and cleanliness, to food and beverage offerings were excellent and on par with most member only private clubs. Must try this course again soon.

The golf club provides a serene and authentic Japanese "Zen" ambiance. It marries simplicity and tranquility seamlessly while delivering a golf course with a distinct links-like character. The course is exceptionally well-maintained throughout. Despite the abundance of bunkers, the quality of the sand makes them a joy to play from. Although the greens could be a tad faster, there are plans to enhance their speed during the drier, cooler season. The club's facilities are notably modern and impeccably clean.
