Aquella Golf & Country Club

Aquella Golf & Country Club is a very nice and beautifully presented course, set in a peaceful location that makes for a very enjoyable round. The layout is pleasant and easy on the eye, although overall it lacks a bit of excitement. That said, a few holes are genuinely beautiful and definitely memorable. The course has the feel of a typical resort layout — similar to many courses in Portugal — designed to be enjoyable and playable rather than overly demanding. One thing that really stands out, however, is the stunning clubhouse, which is impressive both in size and design. A very nice feature is the credit card you receive at the start of the round. Everything you spend — in the pro shop, on the course, or later in the restaurant — is simply booked to that card and settled at the end, which makes the whole experience very smooth and relaxed. My caddie was very friendly and helpful, even though communication was sometimes a bit difficult. Still, the service was good and added to the relaxed atmosphere of the day. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. If you are in the area and simply looking for an enjoyable round of golf in a beautiful setting, Aquella is definitely worth playing. ⛳️

As good of a golf club as it gets. Impressive from the entry gate to what ia a vast see-side property. Modern, wood decored, Thai style architecture club house with spacey restaurant and pro-shop with nice selection of golf merchandise. Golf ball feeders at every shooting range bay is probably an excess. Course is laid out on the former site of the Thai Muang Golf Course although only about 30% of the new golf course is located where the previous course was. Track is quite open yet with water in play on a number of holes and timber-faced bunkers. There are numerous creeks in play as well with beautiful bridges. Greens has average speeed of 9 on the stimpmeter when we arrived. Par 4 10th is a gem with river and two bridges behind the green, Par 3 11th facing Adaman Sea at the back is signature hole. I wish there were more holes facing the emerald waters that proably about the only reason we don't rate the gold course design 10 out of 10. Lovely golf course, layout, clubhouse, caddies, restaurant, staff… everything is so good! We have played 3 rounds on 1,5 weeks and every time was everything perfect! I will definitely recommend this golf course to everyone.

Aquella Golf and Country Club, located just north of Phuket, offers a premium golfing experience at one of the region’s newer courses. The overall design is excellent, with pristine tee boxes and challenging greens that will test players of all skill levels. The fairways are in good condition, with ongoing maintenance ensuring consistent quality where needed. The course layout is thoughtfully designed, with minimal blind spots, reasonable water hazards, and a fair distribution of bunkers. Hole 11, the signature hole, is a standout feature—playing directly towards the beach and offering breathtaking views of the sea. While the front nine is slightly more challenging, the back nine provides a more relaxed yet enjoyable experience. The caddies are friendly, knowledgeable, and speak sufficient English to assist effectively throughout the game. After your round, the on-site restaurant is a must-visit. The food is excellent, and the service team is both professional and genuinely welcoming. Overall, Aquella Golf and Country Club exudes class and charm. It’s a destination we highly recommend and one we’ll definitely return to.

Wir konnten am 20 Juli anschließend an einem Turnier spielen. Abschläge und Fairways, Bunkers perfekt. Die Grüns waren etwas Langsam. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und der Preis war Thailand relativ günstig. Wir kommen wieder.
