Club de Golf Panamá

Playing Club de Golf de Panamá is a must if you are a fanatic golfer and are staying in Panamá City a little longer. Looking at the history a little, just to understand why especially this club and course is worth choosing. The Panama Golf Club was founded in 1922 by a group of American and Panamanian military officers in an effort to create the country's first golf club. Its first location was in the Las Sabanas area, and it later moved to its current location in Cerro Viento. Today the golf club is already at it's third location, which was inaugurated on April 23, 1977, at its current location in Cerro Viento. The current 18-hole course was designed by Jay Riviere and Charles Schaeffer. Today, it is recognized as one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in Central America and has hosted international events such as the Korn Ferry Tour's Panama Championship Playing the course roughly eight weeks before the next Panamá Championship the preparations for the fairways and greens is fully underway. That of course is good and so I didn't mind that the green was just being maintained (holes punched) and they were spraying sand on the fairways. During the current rain season the golf course can recover and improve fast. They'll be ready for the Korn Ferry Tour's Panama Championship (Date:Jan 29–Feb 1, 2026) Since I was invited by a member I had to pay 117,70 USD, which is definitely a good price for this level of golf course.

Excelente campo, greenes amplios, fairways amplios, algo ondulado que lo hace retador.

This golf course was not in good condition when I visited in 2009. Not enough use of water so it was very dry. The design was ok but I hope it is now in better condition.

Buen club

Un magnifique parcours de golf. Environnement tropical; nombreux obstacles d'eau, caïmans, fleurs, oiseaux. Parcours technique et très plaisant.

Le meilleur parcours de Panama. Accueille les compétitions internationales.

Caddies très compétents et dévoués. Service de boisson et snacks sur le parcours.

Restrictions d'accès. Il vaut mieux être invité.
