Vista Mar Golf & Beach Resort

Great course but rough around the edges. Amazing views of the pacific on many holes. Not a lot of cover on the course so can get very ho t and windy. Bring your A game as holes 6 and 18 have some significant carries.

All in all very good value for money I would say after living 2,5 years in Panama and having played a lot of the 11 courses already. Vista Mar at 115 km from Panama city is a perfect course to play on a rainy day in Panama city. The location of Vista Mar in the most dry area of Panama (Playa Blanca) is perfect to guarantee the highest chances of sun. The resort has enough space to have a full blown 18 holes golf course. Due to the fact that it’s a resort course and the people that bought a house wants to have a green course in front of their houses the course looks always wonderfully green. The maintenacne of tee boxes, fairways and greens is very good. The club house and restaurant are both small, but it has a lovely terras with view over hold 9. The fact that there is only limited people playing gives you the opportunity to fully destress and focus on going low. The second nine have my preference, since they go all the way to the ocean and are challenging for a Handicap 19.0 player.
