Allianz Bank Course by Hurdzan-FryHet mooie natuurpark La Mandria zorgt voor het decor van maar liefst 2 golfclubs. Royal Park I Roveri oogt het modernst van de twee. Begin maart lag het Hurdzan-Fry parcours dat we hebben gespeeld er al prima bij. Aan uitdagingen geen gebrek.

The Agnelli family, which is associated with the Fiat car company and Juventus Turin football club, among others, is behind the creation of this 36-hole complex. The entrance to the gated park through a barrier checkpoint already suggests that this is a special place. The main course, now named the Allianz course, was designed in 1971 by the renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Senior. Roveri translates as oak, which, together with other mature birch and conifer trees, forms the perfect backdrop. The course is very long. If you don't want to play from the reds, the length from the blacks is 5,700 meters and from the yellows 6,200 meters. The fourth and sixth holes have interestingly elevated tees above the greens of the previous holes. Behind the sixth tee is a lake and beyond that is another top course in Piedmont, the 36-hole Circolo Golf Torino - La Mandria.

Allianz Course by Trent Jones Sr.Felt like being in a dream world. With a dream course. Beautiful for golf lovers. Great quality of everything, and nothing to say about the design except - you get your pauses, challenges and risk/reward holes. Money can buy love. I’ll be back!

Allianz Course by Trent Jones Sr.Om bij de baan te komen moest je eerst door een poort met beveiliging. Daarna uitkomen op een zeer ruime grote nette parkeergelegenheid. Het ontvangst was zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij op zijn italiaans. Buggy werd voorzien van ijsblokken en flesjes water. GPS boordcomputer die er in zat gaf de juiste waarden aan en was gebruiksvriendelijk. Fairway en teeboxen waren goed onderhouden. Greens zijn strak en snel. Helaas af en toe schimmel in de greens. De baan op zich is erg leuk om te spelen met voldoende stroompjes bunkers en doglegs. Zeker een baan om weer te komen. Clubhuis is gezellig met diverse zitjes hoog en met clubjes. Kleedruimte met grote handdoeken en kluisjes die je kan afsluiten.
