The Club at Castiglion del Bosco
About The Club at Castiglion del Bosco
The truly Tuscan personality of The Club at Castiglion del Bosco Golf Club is conveyed by its unspoilt natural setting, dotted with cypress trees, which follows the contours of the historic landscape of the Val d’Orcia. The Club at Castiglion del Bosco is Europe’s finest golf experience at Italy’s only private golf club, reserved exclusively for Members and resident guests of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. The golf course at Castiglion del Bosco is the only Continental European design of legendary Champion golfer Tom Weiskopf and it is exquisitely blended into the soft curves and contours of the estate’s rolling hills and valleys, treading lightly in an environment whose natural beauty requires little enhancement or embellishment.

Beatifull course, lovely Toscane views, very service oriented staff, best greens ever, clubhouse charming, wine and dining perfect. A visit is a must!

The golf course itself is excellent—highly exclusive, with very few players on the course. During my visit, I encountered no more than five other golfers, which made for a quiet and enjoyable experience. The course was also in great condition, clearly well maintained. I was staying at the Rosewood Hotel, where the overall service was outstanding. Unfortunately, the level of service at the golf course did not match that standard. It felt rather mediocre. The staff seemed bored and disengaged; instead of using their downtime to provide attentive service, they appeared more focused on finding ways to avoid doing anything. As a result, I felt quite unattended. I do not understand the extremely positive reviews from other guests—perhaps I was simply unlucky during my visit.

Very nice course, beautiful views, greens were super fast but the course was not so good condition at this time when we were here, course was under construction, lots of repair work and they told us that too. Hole 13 was not playable so changed it to hole 19(Brunello Hole). Driving range was not in use at this time, only short game. I personally think that the green fee was bit too much for the condition of the course at the moment.

A beautiful golf course. Not many rounds played per day, so it feels relaxed. A fair bit of the course is in maintenance right now, but still plays beautifully.

Surrounded by the amazing Tuscany countryside, Castiglion del Bosco made me experience one of the most high level golf journeys. By far the best place to golf in Italy if you are looking for quality of service, stunning facilities and impeccable course conditions. The Tuscan style Club House it’s so unique and the after round lunch was incredible. Course in very good shape with some minimal details to be reviewed. I’ve been received by the General Manager David Waters and Head Professional Joe Banks which made my experience smooth and welcoming. I really hope to have the opportunity to come back and I would for sure consider to refer this stunning place to all my golf addicted friends.
