Mazury Golf & Country Club

Mazury was designed by Martin Hawtree. I'm sure the 2 9 hole loops were switched from initial set up, as we noticed on the GPS. Also I find the current 9th hole better suited as hole 18. The course was fun to play, but I found the back nine more difficult. The stroke indices 1,2 and 3 were all to be found on the back nine. There are some water hazards, but not too much. Hole 17 which is a dolgleg right is a totally blind tee shot, and you need to cut off more than you think, because it is a really short hole.

Facilities are nice with a wide enough driving range and some practice from grass available.

The clubhouse offers a nice view on hole 9 and 18, and as usual in Poland, food and drinks in the bar cheap. I had a sort of Thai pasta dish which was good.

Driving range op gras en mat mogelijk (laatste is overdekt)

Chipping en putting green niet slecht, groot en redelijk snel

Weersomstandigheden :

Onbewolkt, zonnig en geen wind

Tee :

3 kleuren, wit, geel en rood, kies uw tee zorgvuldig

Veel divots maar geen probleem voor uw spel

Soms een hele afstand alvorens op de fairway terecht te komen

Terrein :

Fairway ziet er netjes uit en breed

3 hoogtes fairway, dan de rough iets hoger en vervolgens de hoge

Redelijk recht slagen is dus een must

Bunkers in nette staat met hark, wachtend op hun prooi

Green :

Mooi afgelijnd ten opzichte van de fairway, groot en snel

Eerste 9 redelijk eenvoudig te spelen, de tweede negen bevatten enkele verassingen

Zoals tussen tee en fairway een hindernis, die er mag wezen en een groot risico is op balverlies

Buggy :

Wij speelden op maandag, 2 greenfees voor de prijs van 1.

Clubhuis is spiksplinternieuw en enorm.

De baan was ondanks de stevige regenval van voorgaande dag en ochtend goed speelbaar. Greens prima, duidelijke borden bij de afslag, prima!

Een aanrader om te gaan spelen.
