The GC Weitra is a challenging and varied golf course with not too big greens which are rather undulating. Each hole has its own characteristics, none of them resemble the other and therefore a round of golf at Weitra is a challenge for every level of play. Our bunkers are strategically well placed, as well as water hazards, which can be very challenging on our course on certain holes, as the golfer has to decide between risk and reward.

GC WeitraThe Weitra course offers two completely different nine-hole layouts. First-time visitors will be surprised by the first hole, which requires a tee shot up a steep hill. The second shot, over the horizon, offers the first view of the city’s landmark, the Renaissance castle. The front nine features a gently undulating layout. Another view of the castle can be seen from the eighth hole. A real treat is the 9th hole, a par 3 played downhill back toward the 1st tee. It measures 201 meters, so choose your club carefully. The back nine is very open, and you can practically see all the holes you’ve played around you. Near the clubhouse and hotel, there is a large lake and several other sports facilities.

GC WeitraDer Golfplatz in Weitra umfasst 18 Spielbahnen, welche teilweise sehr spektakulär zu spielen sind. Schon das Loch 1 ist wegen der Steilheit eine Herausforderung. Alle Bahnen schön in die Hügellandschaft eingebettet, sehr weitläufig und teils weite Wege. Ein Cart ist sehr hilfreich. Bei einigen Bahnen hat man einen tollen Blick auf die Burg Weitra.

GC WeitraGreat golf course for all types of players.
Good variation between longer and shorter holes. Wide fairways. Nice surroundings.
Greens were well maintained and fast.
Clubhouse is new, but, for me, a bit to much business like.
All in all: good value for money and worthwhile a visit.
