When, in the early 90’s between Olgiate and Solbiate Olona, Jack Nicklaus found himself in front of a land of around seventy acres that meant to be the golf course “Le Robinie”, He did not have any doubts about what was done: dig, dig, dig .
So bulldozers moved two million cubic meters of ground and gravel to create a masterpiece of depressions, amphitheatres, terraced bunkers and lakes leading the unmistakable imprint of the “Golden Bear “. Dopo parecchio tempo ho rigiocato in questa struttura, proprio ieri giovedì 22/11/2018, purtroppo era una giornata tipicamente novembrina, ma fortunatamente senza pioggia. Il campo, dopo vari giorni di piovosi, era un poco pesante, ma in condizioni perfette, senza zone di ristagno d'acqua. Campo preparato per gara, quindi le buche che ho giocato 10-18 erano in ottime condizioni.
Ho apprezzato molto la dotazione di sabbia che viene fornita a ogni giocatore per la riparazione dei divot. La usassero tutti dappertutto i campi sarebbero molto più in ordine!
A ogni partenza sono presenti cestini e flaconi di ricambio, in effetti il campo si presenta pulitissimo…
