About Circolo Golf Venezia

The Venetian Golf Club boasts a rich history as the oldest club in the region and one of the most ancient in Italy, established in 1928 and opened in 1930. The inaugural week of festivities, featuring competitions and celebrations, was organized by its first 25 members hailing from noble Venetian families. This prestigious club has attracted renowned champions such as Arnold Palmer, Tony Jacklin, Severino Ballesteros, Johnny Miller, Sam Torrance, Lee Trevino, Costantino Rocca, Baldovino Dassù, Eamonn Darcy, and, more recently, Edoardo and Francesco Molinari and Matteo Manassero, who have all graced the Lido's links. The course's allure lies in the perfect balance between natural beauty and technical challenges, making it one of Italy's best courses. Golf Digest ranked it the eighth-best course in Italy in 2012, cementing its position as a premier golf destination. The Circolo Venezia Golf received the Silver Star of Sports Merit in 1976 and the Golden Star in 1985. Over the years, the club has produced numerous exceptional players, including the 2009 Italian champions Marianna Causin and Niccolò Quintarelli.
