Die Anlage liegt 20 Autominuten vom Stadtzentrum von Riga und jeweils 10 Autominuten vom Strandferienort Jurmala, und dem Flughafens von Riga entfernt. Es ist der erste und einzige Nicklaus Design Golfplatz in den baltischen Staaten und das neueste Golf Prestigeprojekt in Lettland. Mit dem 18-Loch-Meisterschaftsgolfplatz und einem 9-Loch-Par-3-Akademiegolfplatz sowie einem modernen Clubhaus mit 17 Design Zimmern und 2 Suiten und guter Gastronomie erfüllt die Anlage grundsätzlich alle Ansprüche und Wünsche. Der 18-Loch-Championship Golfplatz Jurmala ist aber auch ein äusserst anspruchsvoller Platz mit strategisch platzierten Bunkern, (zu) vielen Wasserhindernissen und hohen Roughs. Die komplett flache Umgebung lässt den Parcour zwar zu Fuss bewältigen, kann aber mit den konstanten Winden und einer Gesamtlänge von 6384 Meter durchaus anstrengend werden, weshalb ein moderner Buggy mit GPS durchaus hilfreich sein. Auch der konstanten Lärm der benachbarten Schnellstrasse kann etwas störend wirken. Gepaart mit dem meist kräftigen Wind ist er für Pro Golfer und Single Handicapper eine schöne Herausforderung für alle anderen wohl eher eine Prüfung welche Gelassenheit und Demut verlangt. Also nehmen Sie die Herausforderung an und nehmen Sie eine Portion Humor und genügend Golfbälle mit! Zur Belohnung wartet nach der Runde eine sehr schöne Terrasse mit interessante Auswahl an Drinks und Speisen sowie freundliches Personal auf Sie. ENGLISH VERSION: The course is a 20-minute drive from Riga city center and a 10-minute drive from both the beach resort of Jurmala and Riga airport. It is the first and only Nicklaus Design golf course in the Baltic States and the newest golf prestige project in Latvia. With the 18-hole championship golf course and a 9-hole par 3 academy golf course as well as a modern clubhouse with 17 design rooms and 2 suites and good gastronomy, the course basically fulfills all requirements and wishes. However, the 18-hole championship Jurmala golf course is also an extremely challenging course with strategically placed bunkers, (too) many water hazards and high roughs. The completely flat surroundings allow the course to be mastered on foot, but with the constant winds and a total length of 6384 meters, it can be quite strenuous, which is why a modern buggy with GPS is definitely helpful. The constant noise from the neighboring highway can also be a little annoying. Coupled with the usually strong wind, it is a nice challenge for pro golfers and single handicappers, but for everyone else it is more of a test that requires composure and humility. So accept the challenge and take a dose of humor and plenty of golf balls with you! As a reward, a very nice terrace with an interesting selection of drinks and food and friendly staff await you after your round.

Sehr schön gelegener Golfplatz bei Riga, sehr gut gepflegt, tolle Fairways and Greens . Angenehmes Clubhouse. Zum Zeitpunkt meines Aufenthaltes leider die (Junior) - international Open , daher wenig Tee Times zur Auswahl.

Terrein:

Op de scorekaart ziet het men het water een duidelijke rol spelen maar dit valt wel mee, steeds is er een mogelijkheid om dit te omzeilen

Zeer uitdagende redelijk brede fairways en een lage rough

Strakke scheidingslijn tussen de egale fairway en de lage rough

Bunkers (afwerking fantastisch) zijn speelbaar en liggen op strategische plaatsen

Sommige hindernissen zijn fataal, kom je hierin dan is de kans groot dat je bal verloren is

Green:

Groot, afgereden, maar niet snel en de scheidingslijn met apron is overal duidelijk

Buggy:

Aanwezig met GPS

Afregeling kan beter de ene keer kan je minder dan 1m naast de green rijden de andere keer 15m en meer

Restaurant:

Eerst en drankje in de bar, restaurant was door een team afgehuurd en dus gegeten in de bar

We bestelden een soepje en een pizza (groot was onze verassing dat ze met beiden gerechten tegelijk afkwamen)

Een terugkomer waardig?

Jazeker terrein geschikt voor alle niveaus en het is vast de moeite om eens te bezoeken, als je in de buurt bent.

This was the first course I visited in Latvia.

When I looked at the course map the day before, it looked just very difficult with (too) much water in play. However the experience was very different. The fairways are wide, and the water seemed to come into play much less than expected. I found it a very fair setup.

Course condition is very good with beautiful fairways and bunkers. Also excellent signalisation to get to the next hole.

We were 18 holes behind the same 4ball, and they didn't let us go through, even though they were all looking for balls on several holes, and had plenty of opportunities.

With the cart, you can't drive to the parking lot, apparently due to safety reasons, seems rather strange.

We were here in combination with a stay onsite, they have 9 rooms in the clubhouse. Very convenient and the room was comfortable.
