Aguilón Golf

Amazing course The bunkers don’t have much sand in them,and mainly made up of grit. It was very windy when we played which made it difficult to play. We got a little lost looking for the 15th tee as the sign was pointing in the wrong direction

I play here with friends at least once per year and it never disappoints. Despite the hot, dry & sunny weather that we have had here for many weeks, the course was in excellent condition. Recently they have changed the tee positions on several holes and these have benefited the course. We were a group with handicaps of 7, 12, 18 & 27 and there was plenty of challenge for the better players, with leaving the higher handicap player (me) left behind! The pro shop is being expanded & refurbished and I think the bar may be likewise, as it had been moved outside. All good - would certainly recommend playing here!

very interesting and beautiful golf course with some great feature holes, some long carry from the two back tees so be careful which tees you select based on your hitting distance (some 200 metre plus carries on 5/6 holes from the back two tees so great for low handicap). holes 9 and 18 are feature par 5s with plenty of water but quite tricky with the carries and little room to lay up so be careful on these holes as they are very punishing! would return to this course and was worth the drive from the Murcia region. Note - buggy is essential due to terrain and distance between holes.

Een golfbaan in de woestijn, ga naar Dubai en ze zijn er in overvloed. In Europa hebben we ze ook. Een voorbeeld daarvan is Aguilon Golf bij het plaatse Pulpi een paar kilometer landinwaarts. Een groene oase. Om je heen een ruig onherbergzaam landschap. Niet helemaal waar. Net buiten de golfbaan richting kust vindt akkerbouw plaats. De golfbaan zelf lijkt uitgehouwen uit de rotsen. Er is een kleine urbanisatie. Ik beschouw Aguilon als een hidden gem. Althans volgens mijn definitie ervan, een mooie baan, niet heel bekend en voor weinig geld. Dat is precies wat we hier hebben. Aanvankelijk had Aguilon 100 bunkers. Veel bunkers is veel onderhoud en beperkt de doorstroom. De commercie wint het dan voor de schoonheid en vandaag de dag zijn er nog zo’n 60 over. Wees niet getreurd het is nog steeds een zeer uitdagende baan om te spelen. Op veel holes moet je over een ravijn spelen of is er water in het spel. Die kleine ravijnen zijn wel zo ingedeeld dat het visueel spectaculair is, maar feitelijk geen groot gevaar vormen voor een gemiddelde slag van een matige golfer. Zou moeten zijn, maar!

Parcours valloné avec des ravins. Joué en voiturette en plus de 5 heures alors qu’il est décrit en 4h30. Il est vrai que nous avons joué en permanence avec un vent fort de 65 km/h en moyenne. C’est un parcours très très bien entretenu que je rejouerai avec plaisir quand il n’y aura plus de tempête.
