Azata Golf

The course has a very interesting and challenging design, with many memorable and unique holes that make the round enjoyable from start to finish. However, playing here in the middle of summer is extremely difficult. The fairways become very dry and heavily undulating, so unless you hit and place your shots almost perfectly, there’s a high chance your ball will roll off the fairway into a penalty area or even out of bounds. This can make the course feel more punishing than rewarding during the hottest months. Another downside is the significant wild boar problem, as shown in the attached photo. The damage to the course is quite noticeable in some areas. The driving range is decent, and the small, modern clubhouse is pleasant and welcoming. Overall, considering that we played in July, I would rate the course as average. It has an interesting layout with lots of potential, but the summer playing conditions and the wild boar damage around the greens detract from the overall experience.

As written in various reviews, the venue is a bit special, parking on the street, a modern looking but 'simple' club house, compared to most of the clubs in the area this one is at least distinctive. the green fee (buggy included) was very modest. Staff are super friendly and I was able to play by myself, got paired to nobody which is exceptional. I played the course at the start of the low season, on a hot day of an already scorching week and I must say that the course is holding up fairly good. Tee boxes were okay, the fairways fair and the greens very well maintained. The first 9 holes are challenging, mostly because of the slopes without however becoming unplayable. The back 9 have less slopes but present other demands. You need to adapt your swing every step of the way in order to finish with a nice score or loose a lot of golf balls (isn't that true for every course?). But what you see is what you get, there are no real hidden difficulties. Will I come back? Yes I definitely will!

Myckret bättre än vad jag förväntade mig. Visst gick banan lite på skrå i början, men inte så mycket. En helt spelbar bana till ett brs pris. Kommer tillbaka.

Bijzonder baan. Zeer redelijke prijs. Eerste holes erg uitdagend door de glooiende holes. Neem genoeg ballen mee. Helaas een aantal fairways behoorlijk beschadigd voor wilde zwijnen. De 2e 9 zijn iets makkelijker van de 1e 9 holes. Greens waren snel en zagen er goed uit! Absoluut een aanrader. We gaan er eker naar terug ook vanwege de zeer aantrekkelijke prijs. Golfclub is beperkt. Een soort kantine waar je wel een drankje kan kopen. Parkeren is op de straat.
